Abigail Marie Clancy (born 10 January 1986) is an English lingerie and catwalk model and TV model and TV. She finished second in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2) in 2006 and won series eleven of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. Since 2015 she is Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born in Liverpool, the second oldest of four children of Karen (nee Sullivan) and Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was born in Woolton, an area in Liverpool. She was a student at St Mary's Primary School, as well as St Julie's Catholic High school. Clancy was a member of the girl group Genie Queen. They were directed by Andy McCluskey at Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was one of the 13 finalists in Living TV's Britain’s Next Top Model, which saw her compete over 10 weeks to win an opportunity to model. Clancy reached the runway show's final stage with another contestant Lianna Fowler, becoming the runnerup. Clancy was included in Britain's Next Top Model and has since modelled for several newspapers and magazines. Clancy was the model of the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike on the May 2007 cover of Arena magazine. Clancy was selected for Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue. Clancy was selected for her sporting connections to Peter Crouch. Clancy was photographed wearing body paint for the magazine, to make it appear like she was wearing the England shirt. Yu Tsai shot the photographs. Clancy was included as a model for Umbro sportswear's campaign for 2010. Clancy was seen walking in the Giles Deacon Ready-To Wear Giles Spring 2011, collection. Clancy also appeared on Elite Model Management: New York division website in March 2011. In July 2013, Clancy appeared as a part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign. She was featured in a fashion-related editorial by Absynth Photographic as well as a fashion film made by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also model in the August issue of UK Esquire cover shot by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy was one of the featured models in LOVE magazine’s Advent Calendar, alongside SukiWaterhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy was featured on the cover of British Marie Claire, July 2014, and British Elle, March 2015. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch Their daughter, Sophia Crouch, worked together to launch Lipsy's AW'19 collection. The AW19 collection began to be launched in the UAE in January 2020.
