Emily Ratajkowski
American model and actress Emily O'Hara Ratajkowski was born on June 7, 1991. Her birthplace was in London to American parents. She grew up in San Diego. Her first appearance on the cover of the March 2012 issue erotic magazine was a treat! led to two music videos: Robin Thicke's "Blurred lines" and Maroon 5’s "Love Somebody". Ratajkowski was featured as a model in both Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues 2014 and 2015. In 2015, she made her professional runway debut modeling with Marc Jacobs in New York Fashion Week. She has since been on the Paris Fashion Week runway for Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana and Versace runways. Ratajkowski appeared in the Buick Super Bowl commercial during Super Bowl 50 (2016) and is now the spokesperson for brands such as DKNY, The Frye Company, Kerastase, Paco Rabanne, and DL1961. Ratajkowski started acting as a young girl in San Diego before she gained a recurring part on the Nickelodeon series iCarly (2009-2010). Her first feature film appearance was as Ben Affleck’s lover in Gone Girl (2014). Other roles include the films Entourage (2015), We Are Your Friends (2015), I Feel Pretty (2018) and Welcome Home (2018) and Welcome Home (2018), and the mini-series The Spoils Before Dying (2015) and the anthology series Easy (2016). Ratajkowski has served as a spokesperson and advocate for Planned Parenthood's women's issues. Her views on sexuality have been met with criticism and praise from men and women. She has also been self-described as feminist. The exposure to the naked female figure in art and photography during her formative years, including the work of her father and the photography of Helmut Newton and Herb Ritts and the preparation of Ratajkowski for nude work. She once stated, "We have a culture of males, especially watching pornography. But then [they] are offended [by a nude photo or portrait]. But I've never experienced this." She was also influenced by third-wave feminism and works like The Beauty Myth and Promiscuities by Naomi Wolf.
