Courtney Thorne Smith Bio

Courtney Thorne-Smith (born on the 8th of November 1997) is an American actor from America. Her roles include Alison Parker in Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl In According to Jim, and Lyndsey McElroy's character on Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was raised in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne was her mother. Both were computer market researchers. Courtney was just seven years old when her parents divorced. Courtney lived with both parents at different times. She has an older sister, Jennifer who works as an advertising executive. She attended Menlo-Atherton high school, in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in 1985. She also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley while attending high school. Thorne Smith's first film appearance was in the 1986 movie drama Lucas. The film was co-produced by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim) and Charlie Sheen. In the late 1980s she was also featured in a variety of films including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II (Nerds in Paradise) (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out(90). She was in the role of Carrot Top in 1998's box office failure, and was Chairman of the Board. In 2009, she appeared in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith was a lover of Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen lover from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she got married to geneticist Andrew Conrad; the couple ended their relationship in January of 2001. Roger Fishman (president of Zizo Group, marketing company) and the author of What I Know was her wedding date. At the age of 40, she gave birth on the morning of January 11 of 2008, to Jacob Emerson Fishman.
