Moss was born on the 13th of February in 1977. He is an American footballer. He
was an American footballer who played 14 seasons within the National Football
League (NFL) and was a part of the Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders as
well as the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans. The most admired wide
receiver in history alongside Jerry Rice, he holds the NFL single-season
touchdown reception record (23 in 2007) as well as the NFL single-season record
for touchdown reception for rookies (17 in 1998) and is second on the NFL
all-time regular season touchdown list, with 156. Moss was well-known for his
skill in securing his contested catch "mossed" is today a football
word. Following his time in football and broadcasting, he began working as a
studio announcer at ESPN for the Sunday NFL Countdown program and Monday Night
Countdown. Moss was born in Rand, West Virginia. Moss attended DuPont High
School. This was one of the two schools that later consolidated to become
Riverside High School. He excelled in basketball, football and baseball. Randy
was also a part of the school’s debate team. Moss was a DuPont Panthers'
football player who helped them win back-to-back state championships, in 1992
and 1993. Moss was an outstanding wide receiver, but also played free safety,
returned punts and kickoffs, and was the team's kicker and punter. In 1994, he
was honoured with the Kennedy Award as the West Virginia Football Player of the
Year. Parade magazine named him to their All-American high-school football
teams in 1995. In 2009 they named him one of the 50 greatest high-school
football players of all-time.
